HPD Homicide Division Detectives E. Camacho and K. Hale reported:
Officers in the area of the 7800 block of East Tidwell Road were flagged down by the driver of a white Cadillac SUV who told them of a male with gunshot wounds inside the SUV. Paramedics were called and pronounced the man, later identified as Mr. Garcia, deceased.
Detectives learned the Cadillac’s driver had taken Garcia to a residence at 10647 Jordan Heights Drive to meet up with an unknown male. As Garcia and the unknown male were speaking, three other males approached the SUV and started firing shots at those inside the SUV. The driver fled the scene as the three males continued to fire shots at the vehicle. The three male suspects, described only as black males, fled on foot.
The unknown male at the scene on Jordan Heights was also wounded and taken to an area hospital.
Further investigation identified Joseph as the unknown male and one of the suspects. Last Thursday (March 13), Garcia was taken into custody and transported to the Harris County Jail.
