Update: Suspect Arrested, Charged in Fatal Shooting at 600 Westmont Drive

Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the fatal shooting of a male found at 600 Westmont Drive about 8:45 a.m. on Saturday (November 30).
The male suspect, who was 16 at the time of the shooting, was referred to the Harris County Juvenile Probation Authorities on a charge of capital murder. Names and booking photos of juvenile suspects are not releasable.
The victim is identified as Anthony Santos-Baca also known as Anthony Gonzalez, 16.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives M. Hughey and L. Lovelace reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a person down call at the above address and found an unresponsive male near the roadway. He had suffered gunshot wounds and was pronounced deceased by Houston Fire Department paramedics.
A preliminary investigation and evidence from the scene indicated the shooting occurred sometime the previous evening (November 29).
Further information identified the male suspect responsible for the shooting of Gonzalez. After speaking with the suspect, who was in the Harris County Jail for an unrelated charge, he was referred for his role in the fatal shooting.
