Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 2231 Des Jardines Street

The fatal shooting of a man 2231 at Des Jardines Street about 2:20 a.m. today (April 29) will be referred to a Harris County grand jury.  
The identity of the deceased man, 39, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
The male shooter, 58, was not injured in the incident.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J. Stroble and Detective K. Collier reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call and found a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds in the front yard of a residence at the above address. Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced him deceased at the scene.
Investigators learned there was an altercation between two male neighbors. One male fired multiple shots, striking the other male. The shooter remained at the scene.
After consulting with the Harris County District Attorney’s Office, it was determined the case would be reviewed by a grand jury.
