UPDATE: Suspects Arrested, Charged in 2024 Fatal Shooting at 7031 Moss Rose Street

Charges have been filed against four suspects charged in the fatal shooting of one man and the wounding of a juvenile male at 7031 Moss Rose Street about 1:45 a.m. on June 9, 2024.
The suspects, Jared Edu Garcia, 20, Brian Azahel Garcia, 18, Jair Gael Garcia, 21, and Francisco Jathziel Garcia Juarez, 26, are charged with murder and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in the 183rd State District Court. Booking photos of all four suspects are attached to this news release.
The victim is identified as Nehemiah Lima, 18.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant N. Miyako and Detective L. Gonzales reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting at a residence at the above address and found two males with gunshot wounds. Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced one male deceased. The second male, 15 at the time of the incident, was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.
Further investigation identified Jared Garcia, Brian Garcia, Jair Garcia and Juarez as suspects in this case. On May 7, investigators presented the case to the Harris County District Attorney’s Office and all four were charged for their role in the shootings.
Brian Garcia, Jair Garcia and Juarez were already in custody for unrelated charges.
On Thursday (May 8) Jared Garcia was arrested by the HPD SWAT and Southeast Crime Suppression Teams.
