Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 1400 Redford Street

Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 1400 Redford Street about 2:35 a.m. today (May 15).
The identity of the victim, believed to be in his 20s, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant K. Meek and Detective M. Perez reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call at an apartment complex at the above address and found a male suffering from gunshot wounds near the street. Paramedics pronounced him deceased at the scene.
Neighbors reported hearing gunshots before finding the male lying in a grassy area.
At this time, there is no known motive or suspect(s) description.
