Investigation into Fatal Crash at 13900 Westheimer Road

Houston police are investigating the fatal crash that occurred at 13900 Westheimer Road about 10:05 p.m. on Sunday (May 18).
The identity of the deceased male, 47, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant R. Dallas and Officer N. Solomon reported:
The driver of a white vehicle, described as a tow truck, was traveling eastbound on Westheimer at the above address when the vehicle struck a pedestrian attempting to cross the roadway.
The driver did not stop and render aid. The victim was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.
The investigation is continuing.
