Investigation into Fatal Crash at 12200 Westheimer
Houston police are investigating the fatal crash that occurred at 12200 Westheimer about 8:50 p.m. Monday (June 16).
The identity of the deceased male, 28, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant R. Dallas and Officer A. Thomas reported:
The operator of a black Honda CMX500 motorcycle was traveling westbound on Westheimer at the above address when the driver of a white Toyota Camry pulled out of a private lot, attempted to cross over all four lanes of Westheimer, and struck the motorcycle. The motorcycle operator (victim) went into eastbound lanes of Westheimer where he struck a blue Honda Accord and was ejected from his motorcycle.
Responding Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the male deceased at the scene.
The drivers of the Toyota and Honda remained at the scene, did not show signs of intoxication and were questioned and released.
The investigation is continuing.
