Investigation into Fatal Crash at 13300 Cullen Boulevard

Houston police are investigating the fatal crash that occurred at 13300 Cullen Boulevard about 8:55 p.m. on Friday (June 21).
The deceased male is identified as Scott Cavitt, 44.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant M. Sudduth and Officer C. Ballard reported:
The driver of a black Chevrolet Silverado was traveling southbound on Cullen drive when he struck a pedestrian, not in a crosswalk. Responding Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the victim deceased at the scene.
The driver of the truck initially left the scene but returned. He was questioned, found not to be intoxicated, and was released.
The investigation is ongoing.
