Investigation into Man’s Death at 6600 Long Drive

Houston police are investigating the death of a male found at 6600 Long Drive about 10:20 p.m. on Sunday (July 6).
The identity of the deceased male, 71, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives A. Finlay and B. Stephens reported:
Officers responded to a report of deceased male at the above address and upon arrival met with Houston Fire Department paramedics. Paramedics, with the help of a male citizen, had located a male lying face down in the brush. Paramedics attempted life-saving measures but where unsuccessful. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The victim had suffered possible blunt force trauma. His cause of death is pending autopsy results by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
No witnesses were identified and the citizen left the location without providing any additional information.
