Investigation into Male’s Death at 3104 Burkett Street

Houston police are awaiting autopsy results in the death of a male found following a fire at 3104 Burkett Street about 6:55 p.m. on Wednesday (July 16).
The identity of the deceased male are pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives K. Amri and D. Toledo reported:
Officers responded to a request from Houston Fire Department firefighters where an adult male had been found following a fire at an abandoned residence. The unresponsive male had been located with severe burns and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The investigation is pending the male’s cause of death, to be determined by an autopsy.
