Investigation into Fatal Crash at 1900 Gulf Freeway

Houston police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred in the 1900 block of Gulf Freeway (South Interstate Highway 45) about 8:45 p.m. on Thursday (July 24).
The identity of the deceased male, 34, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant J. Richards and Officer F. Flynn reported:
A red Honda motorcycle was traveling northbound on the U.S. Highway 59 overpass when it struck the right barrier. The male operator of the motorcycle fell onto the roadway in the 1900 block of Gulf Freeway. Paramedics transported him to an area hospital where doctors pronounced him deceased.
The investigation is ongoing.
