Investigation into Man’s Death at 15200 John F. Kennedy Boulevard
The investigation into a man found deceased in the 15200 block of John F. Kennedy Boulevard about 1:20 p.m. on Thursday (July 24) will be referred to a Harris County grand jury.
The identity of the deceased male, 26, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M. Burrow and Detective E. May reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of John F. Kennedy Boulevard and North Sam Houston Parkway East (Beltway 8). Officers located an unresponsive male in the passenger seat of one of the vehicles, who had also suffered at least one gunshot wound. Paramedics pronounced him deceased at the scene.
HPD patrol officers also responded to a shooting call at 2200 North Sam Houston Parkway East and learned it was related to the crash scene.
A juvenile male later turned himself in and stated he was involved in the shooting incident.
After consulting with the Harris County District Attorney’s Office, it was determined the case would be referred to a grand jury for review
