UPDATE: Suspects Arrested, Charged in Fatal Shooting at 9642 Intervale Street

Charges have been filed against two suspects arrested in the fatal shooting of a male found at 9642 Intervale Street about 2:20 p.m. on January 20.
The suspects, Rodesha Smith, 17, and Clint L. Gillespie, 19, are both charged with capital murder in the 497th State District Court. Booking photos of Smith and Gillespie are attached to this news release.
The victim is identified as Tony Maximus Delao, 18.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives P. Michon and A. Herrera reported:
Officers were dispatched to a shooting call at the apartment complex at the above address and found a male unresponsive in the driver’s side of a vehicle in the parking lot.  He had suffered at least one gunshot wound and paramedics pronounced him deceased at the scene.
Evidence indicated the shooting occurred nearby, in an apartment complex parking lot at 9800 Hollock Street.  It appears the victim managed to drive to Intervale Street where someone called 911.
Further investigation identified Smith and Gillespie as suspects in this case. Smith, who was already in custody on an unrelated charge and case, was subsequently charged with capital murder on July 29.
Officers with the Southeast Patrol Division’s Crime Suppression Team arrested Gillespie on Wednesday (July 30) and he was booked in the Harris County Jail.
