Suspect Arrested, Charged in Fatal Stabbing at 6525 Hillcroft Avenue

Houston police have arrested a suspect charged in the fatal stabbing of a man that occurred at 6525 Hillcroft Avenue about 7:45 p.m. on June 5.
Clotius McGee, 24, is charged with murder and tampering with evidence in the 495th State District Court. A booking photo of McGee is attached to this news release.
The victim is identified as Samuel Gidey, 30.
HPD Homicide Division Detective K. Amri and Officer D. Toledo reported:
Officers responded to a report of a stabbing at an apartment complex at the above address. Upon arrival they found the victim lying on the balcony of his apartment with multiple stab wounds. Responding Houston Fire Department paramedics transported the victim to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
Witnesses stated they saw an unknown black male suspect wearing all black clothing flee the scene in an unknown vehicle.
Further investigation identified the suspect as McGee and, on Thursday (July 31) he was arrested and charged for his role in the fatal shooting.
