Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 3595 North MacGregor Way

Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 3595 North MacGregor Way about 2:20 p.m. on Thursday (July 31).
The identity of the victim, 25, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant S. Jimenez and Detective C. Bowling reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call at an apartment complex at the above address. Officers located a male with multiple gunshot wounds inside an apartment. Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the male deceased.
According to witnesses, there was a physical altercation between a group of males and the victim prior to the shooting.
