Investigation into Fatal Crash at 4800 Airline Drive

Houston police are investigating the fatal crash that occurred at 4800 Airline Drive about 11 p.m. on Sunday (August 10).
The identity of the deceased male, 24, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant R. Dallas and Officer R. Young reported:
A white Yamaha YZ450F (dirt bike) was traveling northbound at the above address when he struck a pothole, lost control and struck a blue Toyota Corolla that was traveling southbound. The collision caused the operator of the Yamaha to be ejected.
The operator of the Yamaha was pronounced deceased at the scene by Houston Fire Department paramedics.
The driver of the Corolla remained at the scene, did not show signs of intoxication, and was questioned and released.
The investigation is ongoing.
