Investigation into Deceased Male at 14099 Westheimer Road

The investigation into the death of a male found at 14099 Westheimer Road about 9:05 a.m. on Friday (August 8) is pending autopsy results by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
The male is identified as Jessie Mobley, 34.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant B. Roberts and Detective J. Wallschlaeger reported:
Officers responded to a report of a deceased male found in a sitting position outside of a business in a strip center parking lot at the above address. Responding Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the male deceased at the scene.
Further investigation found Mr. Mobley had gone inside a restaurant at the address the night before. Employees of the restaurant stated after eating he fell asleep at the table and was unresponsive. The staff believed Mobley was possibly a homeless person and carried him outside, along with his belongings and sat him down.
The investigation into the male’s death is pending the result of the autopsy. At this time there is no belief Mobley was the victim of a crime.
