Suspect Arrested, Charged in Fatal Shooting at 11355 Richmond Avenue
Houston police have arrested a suspect charged in the fatal shooting of a man at 11355 Richmond Avenue about 10 p.m. on Saturday (August 9).
Jeremiah Lee Jackson, 21, is charged with murder in the 487th State District Court. A booking photo of Jackson is attached to this news release.
The identity of the deceased male, 31, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives J. Smith and R. Waterwall reported:
Officers responded to a report of a shooting at the above address and found the male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Responding Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the male deceased at the location.
Witnesses directed officers to the suspect who had remained at the address and had the gun with him. The suspect, identified as Jackson, admitted to his role in the shooting and was then charged with murder by the Harris County District Attorney’s Office. He was booked into the Harris County Jail.
