Investigation into Fatal Crash at 14600 U.S. Highway 90

Houston police are investigating the fatal crash that occurred at 14600 U.S. Highway 90 about 9:15 a.m. on Saturday (Aug. 16).
The identity of the deceased male, 56, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant A. Patterson and Officer Z. Alikhan reported:
A Freightliner 18 wheeler tanker truck was traveling westbound at the above address when the vehicle truck left the roadway, struck the right median, the guard rail, and concrete wall of the overpass. The vehicle then flipped and fell onto the service road and caught on fire.
Paramedics pronounced the driver of the vehicle deceased at the scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
