Investigation into Fatal Crash at 300 Patton Street

Houston police are investigating the fatal crash in the 300 block of Patton Street about 11:15 a.m. on Tuesday (Aug. 19).
The identity of the deceased male, 61, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant C. Prejean and Officer C. Nguyen reported:
A white Moto Guzzi motorcycle was traveling eastbound at the above address. A gray Honda HR-V was traveling westbound on Patton Street. The Honda failed to yield the right of way, making a left turn into a parking lot. The motorcycle lost control, fell and slid into the Honda. Paramedics transported the male motorcyclist to an area hospital where doctors pronounced him deceased.
The female driver, 37, of the Honda remained at the scene, did not show signs of intoxication, and was questioned and released.
The investigation is ongoing.
