Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 4000 Bellnole Drive

The fatal shooting of two men at 4000 Bellnole Drive about 11 p.m. on Friday (August 22) will be referred to a Harris County Grand Jury.
The identity of the deceased males, 28 and 36, is pending identification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives J. Caten and K. Stringer reported:
Two males, wearing face coverings, tactical vests and with badges displayed around their necks, approached the above resident. They were both armed with firearms and told the persons inside the residence they had a warrant for their arrest. The two groups exchanged words which led to an exchange of gunfire. The persons wearing tactical gear were both struck by the gunfire.
The residents called 911 following the shooting. Responding Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced both males deceased at the scene.
Both residents are cooperating with the investigation. The shooting will be referred to a Harris County Grand Jury.
