Investigation into Deceased Female at 4900 Spur 5
The investigation into the death of a female found at 4900 Spur 5 (State Highway 35) about 10 a.m. on Monday (September 15) is pending autopsy results by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
The female has been identified as Jade Elise McKissic, 20, by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M. Brady reported:
On September 11, Ms. McKissic was last seen in the 3700 block of North MacGregor Way at about 1 a.m.. She had spent the evening with friends at local bars and left the bar by herself, also leaving her cell phone behind. She then went to a gas station next door to buy a drink. McKissic is observed leaving the gas station alone and walking towards Bray Bayou on the corner of Scott and MacGregor.
On Monday (Sept. 15), McKissic’s body was recovered approximately 2.5 miles away in Brays Bayou at the above address. An autopsy by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences revealed no signs of trauma or foul play and the cause of death is still under investigation. Houston police department’s investigation is pending the cause of death to be determined by the medical examiner’s office.
