UPDATE: Surveillance Video Released in Investigation into 2023 Fatal Shooting at 8900 Bissonnet Street

Houston police have released surveillance video of suspects wanted in the fatal shooting of two men that occurred at 8900 Bissonnet Street about 5:35 p.m. on September 23, 2023.
Video of the suspects, believed to be two males, and their vehicle, a light-colored Nissan Sentra with a broken door handle on the front passenger side door, is attached to this news release.
The victims are identified as Desmond Moore, 48, and Dester Chavez, 30. Photos of both men are attached to this news release.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant C. Ponder reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call near the above address and found two unresponsive males with gunshot wounds. Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced both men deceased. They were later identified as Mr. Moore and Mr. Chavez.
A preliminary investigation indicated Moore was believed to be the intended target of the shooting, while Chavez was a bystander. The unknown suspects fled in a light-colored Nissan Sentra with a broken door handle on the front passenger side door.
