Investigation into Fatal Crash at 8700 Meta Street

Houston police are investigating a fatal crash in the 8700 block of Meta Street about 4:25 p.m. on Saturday (September 27).
The deceased female is identified as Merlean Ratcliff, 68.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant R. Dallas and Officer T. Hudson reported:
A female was driving a go cart when the vehicle flipped into a ditch at the above address. The operator ended up under the go kart. Paramedics transported her to an area hospital where she was later pronounced deceased.
There were no other vehicles or persons involved in this crash.
The investigation is ongoing.
