Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 5300 Coke Street

Houston Police are investigating the fatal shooting of a male at 5300 Coke Street about 10:35 p.m. on Thursday (October 16).
The identity of the victim, believed to be 18, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant C. Lamont and Detective C. Flora reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call at an apartment complex at the above address and found a male suffering from at least one gunshot wound in the courtyard area. Paramedics transported him to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
At this time, there is no known suspect(s).
