Suspect Arrested, Charged in Fatal Crash at 12300 Almeda Road
Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in a fatal crash that occurred at 12300 Almeda Road about 1:20 a.m. on Sunday (Nov. 2).
The suspect, Tony Jerome Oliver, 29, is charged with intoxication manslaughter – death of multiple people in the 497th Criminal District Court. A booking photo of Oliver, who remains hospitalized, is not available at this time.
The identity of the deceased female, 21 and two males, 23 and 24, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant R. Dallas and Officer A. Thomas reported:
A gray Chrysler 300 was traveling south near the above address when the driver failed to stop at a red light and struck a white Buick Enclave. The impact caused the Buick to strike three other vehicles.
The male driver and male passenger of the Buick were pronounced deceased at the scene by Houston Fire Department paramedics. The female passenger of the Buick was transported to an area hospital where doctors pronounced her deceased.
Oliver was transported to an area hospital in critical condition. Subsequent investigation found that he was intoxicated and he was charged.
No one else was seriously injured.
