Investigation into Fatal Crash at 2700 Quitman Street

Houston police are investigating a fatal auto-pedestrian crash at 2700 Quitman Street about 8:25 p.m. on Saturday (November 22).
The identity of the deceased male, 36, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant R. Dallas and Officer R. Guzman reported:
A white Ford Explorer was traveling eastbound at the above address when it struck a pedestrian who was laying down in the middle of the roadway. Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the male pedestrian deceased at the scene.
The male driver of the Ford, 16, remained at the scene and showed no signs of impairment.
The investigation is ongoing.
