Suspect Arrested, Charged in Fatal Shooting at 3803 Lemon Tree Lane
Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the fatal shooting incident that resulted in the deaths of two men at 3803 Lemon Tree Lane about 6:15 a.m. on Saturday (November 22).
The suspect, Nicholas Alessandro Campos, 23, is charged with murder in the 338th Criminal District Court. A booking photo of Campos is attached to this news release.
The identities of the victims, 58 and 46, are pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives K. Heaverlo and J. Jorsch reported:
Campos was involved in an argument with a male (46-year-old victim) in the front yard of Campos’ residence at the above address. Campos went inside his residence and retrieved a firearm. At some point, the suspect and the male were involved in a struggle for the weapon, causing it to discharge at least once and striking the father of the suspect (58-year-old victim).
Moments later, Campos re-entered his residence, retrieved another weapon and chased the 46-year-old male, firing multiple shots. The victim was struck at least once and came to rest in his front yard at 3719 Lemon Tree Lane.
Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced both victims deceased at the scene.
Responding officers detained Campos at the scene. The Harris County District Attorney’s office was consulted and Campos was subsequently arrested and charged for his role in this incident.
