Investigation into Deceased Female at 666 Maxey Road

Houston police are awaiting autopsy results in the death of a female found at 666 Maxey Road about 5:15 p.m. on Thursday (Nov. 27).
The deceased is identified as Brittany Gamble, 34.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives G. Rangel and H. Montealegre reported:
Officers responded to a report of a deceased female at an apartment at the above address. Upon arrival they spoke with a male who stated the female had been staying with him since he met her on November 19. Responding Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced her deceased at the scene. Officers observed the female to have an abrasion on her face and bruising on her upper body.
Upon further investigation officers learned Ms. Gamble had been reported as a missing person on November 20. According to the Harris County Medical Examiner’s Office who responded to the apartment, it was believed she had been deceased for about three days.
The female’s cause of death will be be determined by an autopsy and the investigation remains ongoing.
