Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 1111 Blalock Road

Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a male and wounding of another at 1111 Blalock Road about 10:40 p.m. on Sunday (December 21).
The identity of the deceased person is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives W. Elliot and D. Hobson reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call at an apartment complex at the above address. Officers located shell casings but no one was at the scene. Shortly after, a call was received at a nearby hospital about two individuals with gunshot wounds. Doctors later pronounced one of the males deceased. The second male is in stable condition.
At this time, there are no known suspect(s).
