Investigation into Fatal Crash at 1300 North Wayside Drive 

Houston police are investigating the fatal crash that occurred at 1300 North Wayside Drive about 10:40 p.m. on Tuesday (Dec. 23).
The identity of the deceased male, 45, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant D. Griffiths and Officer J. Johnson reported:
A black GMC Yukon was traveling northbound at the above address when the driver struck a cyclist in the intersection. Preliminary information indicates the cyclist failed to yield the right of way when crossing the intersection. Responding Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the cyclist deceased at the scene.
The female driver, 38, of the GMC remained at the scene and showed no signs of impairment.
The investigation is ongoing.
