Houston police are awaiting autopsy result in the death of a man found after a fire at 4211 Yellowstone Boulevard about 7:15 a.m. on Sunday (January 11).
The identity of the deceased male is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant S. Jimenez and Detective C. Bowling reported:
The Houston Fire Department responded to a house fire at the above address and found a body inside the residence near the back door. The residence appeared to be vacant and boarded up prior to the fire. The male was pronounced deceased.
Preliminary investigation indicates there is no sign of foul play or trauma. The investigation is pending the cause of death.
The Houston Fire Department Arson Division is investigating the cause of the fire.
