Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 6400 Main Street
Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man and the wounding of another that occurred at 6400 Main Street about 9:05 p.m. on Saturday (Jan. 10).
The identity of the deceased male, 21, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant W. Dunn and Detective L. Brooks reported:
Officers responded to a report of a shooting at the above address and found a male lying on the sidewalk with multiple gunshot wounds. Responding Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced him deceased at the scene. At approximately the same time a second male was discovered approximately two blocks south on a Houston Metro Rail platform also suffering from gunshot wounds. He was transported to an area hospital where he is expected to survive his injuries.
Further investigation revealed an altercation occurred at the above address. The male who was transported to the hospital was later identified as Jordan Lee Williams, 32. He was found to be in possession of a weapon and was charged with felon in possession of a weapon in the 230th Criminal District Court. No witnesses remained at the scene and the investigation is ongoing.
