Investigation into Fatal Crash at 4000 Almeda Genoa Road

Houston police are investigating the fatal crash that occurred at 4000 Almeda Genoa Road about 3:45 a.m. on Saturday (January 17).
The deceased female is identified as Patricia Rivera, 47.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant E. Alejandro and Officer R. Bymaster reported:
The driver of a gray Ford F-350 pickup truck was traveling northbound on Cullen at the above address when he struck a black Toyota Camry traveling westbound on Almeda Genoa Road. The Ford struck the Camry in the intersection of Cullen and Almeda Genoa. The force of the impact caused both vehicles to come to a rest on the grassy median.
Ms. Rivera was pronounced dead at the scene by responding Houston Fire Department paramedics.
The driver of the Ford fled the scene on foot prior to officers arriving.
