Suspect Arrested, Charged in Fatal Stabbing at 8800 Lockwood Drive

Houston police have arrested a suspect charged in the fatal stabbing of a male that occurred at 8800 Lockwood Drive about 11:55 p.m. on December 27, 2025.
Jayla Brown, 22, is charged with murder in the 337th State District Court. A booking photo of Brown is attached to this news release.
The victim is identified as Keylan Foreman, 21.
HPD Homicide Detectives B. Stephens and A. Finlay reported:
Officers responded to a report of a male suffering stab wounds at 8899 Eastex Freeway. When they arrived they found Foreman sitting the the backseat of a vehicle suffering multiple stab wounds. Responding Houston Fire Department paramedics transported him to an area hospital where, on January 19, 2026, he was pronounced deceased.
Detectives with the Houston Police Department’s Major Assaults division initially investigated the case and spoke with Brown who was at the location on Eastex Freeway and was identified as the owner of the vehicle. Brown, and other witnesses at the location, stated there had been an altercation in a parking lot at 8800 Lockwood and the victim had been found lying on the ground bleeding. Several days later Brown came to the Northeast Patrol Station and provided a written statement that she had been the one who stabbed the male, identified as her boyfriend, Mr. Foreman, with a screwdriver after they had argued.
HPD homicide detectives began investigating the case after Foreman died and autopsy results stated he had died from injuries consistent with the statement provided by Brown. On Friday (Jan. 30), Brown was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail for her role in Foreman’s death.
