Investigation into Deceased Male Found at 8300 High Level Road

Houston police are awaiting autopsy results in the death of a male recovered at 8300 High Level Road about 9:35 a.m. today (February 2).
The identity and cause of death of the male, 62, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeants  M. Brady and M. Casso reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a report of a body in Buffalo Bayou at the Port of Houston. HPD’s Dive Team recovered the body at the above address. There were no obvious signs of foul play and the victim appeared to have been dressed for fishing in the cold weather wearing multiple layers of clothing.
Detectives learned a man who had been reported missing was last seen fishing in at the above address on Monday, January 26. The missing man’s vehicle and fishing equipment were also located on the shore nearby.
The investigation is pending autopsy results and cause of death by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
