Investigation into Fatal Crash at 2200 State Highway 6

Houston police are investigating the fatal crash that occurred at 2200 Highway 6 (South State Highway 6) about 10:30 p.m. on Monday (February 3).
The identity of the deceased male, 37, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant R. Dallas and Officer K. Hines reported:
The driver of a red Hyundai Elantra was traveling southbound on Highway 6 near the above address when he struck a pedestrian in the roadway. Responding Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the male deceased at the scene.
The driver of the Hyundai remained at the scene, did not show signs of intoxication, and was questioned and released.
The investigation is ongoing.
