Investigation into Fatal Crash at 2500 West Loop South

Houston police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run crash in the 2500 block of West Loop South (West Interstate Highway 610 South) about 5:05 a.m. on March 28.
The deceased male is identified as Sincere Barrette, 24.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant N. Medrano and Officer Z. Alikhan reported:
A grey Chevrolet Malibu was traveling southbound at the above address when the driver struck a gray Toyota Highlander driving slowly and pulling over into freeway’s shoulder. The driver of the Malibu exited the vehicle to assess the damage and was struck by an unknown third vehicle. Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the driver of the Malibu, Mr. Barrette, deceased at the scene.
The driver of the unknown vehicle did not stop to render aid.
