Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 7526 Martin Luther King Boulevard about 5:05 p.m. on April 9.
The identity of the victim, 19, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant C. Ponder and Detective J. Meister reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call at the above address located an unresponsive male near a vehicle in the roadway. He had suffered at least one gunshot wound. Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced him deceased at the scene.
Preliminary information indicates there was an altercation that resulted in a shooting in the parking lot at an apartment complex at the above address.
