Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 6060 Gulfton Street

Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 6060 Gulfton Street about noon on April 18.
The identity of the victim, 24, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Officer E. Torres II and K. Stringer reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call in the parking lot of an apartment complex at the above address. They located an unresponsive male in the driver seat of a vehicle. He had suffered at least one gunshot wound. Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced him deceased at the scene.
Investigators learned the victim was parked near the rear of the complex when he was approached and shot by at least one unknown suspect.
