Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 6229 Fairchild Street

The fatal shooting of a man at 6229 Fairchild Street that occurred about 12:05 p.m. on May 6 will be referred to a Harris County Grand Jury.
The identity of the deceased male, 42, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant C. Lamont and Detectives A. Barr and R. Reyes reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting at a residence at the above address. when officers arrived, a male surrendered to officers in the front yard, while first responders provided medical assistance to another man who had suffered multiple gunshot wounds in the front porch area. Houston Fire Department paramedics transported the man to an area hospital where doctors pronounced him deceased.
Investigators interviewed the alleged male shooter, 28. After consulting with the Harris County District Attorney’s Office it was determined the shooting would be referred to a Harris County Grand Jury.
