Investigation into Fatal Crash at 11500 East Freeway

Houston police are investigating the fatal auto-pedestrian crash at 11500 East Freeway about 4:20 p.m. on Tuesday (May 26).
The identity of the deceased female is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant P. Lee and Officer C. Vargas reported:
A pedestrian was on the main lanes of the freeway near the above address when they were struck by a black Chevrolet Silverado. Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the pedestrian deceased.
The driver of the Chevrolet truck, 26, was determined not to be impaired and was questioned and released.
The investigation is continuing.
