Update: Female Victim Identified in Death Investigation at 8100 Gulf Freeway

Houston police have learned the identity of a deceased female found at 8100 Gulf Freeway (South Interstate Highway 45) about 9 a.m. on July 29.
The victim is identified as Yvonne Lopez, 33.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M. Holbrook and Detectives D. Crowder and A. Vinogradov reported:
A crew mowing grass at the above address located the body of a deceased female, later identified as Ms. Lopez. A preliminary investigation by HPD homicide investigators, the Houston Fire Department Arson Bureau and the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences determined the body had been partially burned.
Further investigation identified the victim as Ms. Lopez.  Her cause of death is pending autopsy results by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. At this time, there is no known suspect or motive.
The investigation is ongoing.
