UPDATE: Suspect Arrested, Charged in February Fatal Shooting at 9700 Goldcrest Street

Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the fatal shooting of a man that occurred at 9700 Goldcrest Street about 3:20 p.m. on February 28.
The juvenile suspect, 16, has been referred to Harris County Juvenile Probation authorities on a murder charge.  Booking photos and identifying information of juvenile suspects are not releasable.
The victim is identified as Jose Godinez, 18.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives D. Davis and D. Lunceford reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting at the above address and found the victim inside his vehicle in a ditch suffering from a gunshot wound.  Houston Fire Department paramedics transported the victim to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
At that time, there was no known motive or suspect(s).
Further investigation identified the juvenile male as the suspect in this case.  He was arrested on Wednesday (May 15) without incident.
