Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a woman at 3401 Dunvale Street about 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday (January 17). The identity of the victim, 23, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. HPD Homicide Division Detectives A. Finlay and L. Kauffman reported: HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call at an apartment complex at the above address and found the victim unresponsive with at least one gunshot wound. Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and transported the woman to Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center where she was pronounced deceased. At this time, detectives are pursuing leads and believe the victim’s ex-boyfriend is a person of interest.
