House Fire in the Greater Fifth Ward Area

WHAT: House fire.
WHEN: January 15, 2024, at 10:09 p.m.
WHERE: 2400 block of Eastex Freeway at 2900 block of Liberty Rd. 77026.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: Not available.
DAMAGE: Not available.
CAUSE: Under investigation.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within five minutes to find a house on fire and made an attack on the fire. They pulled the ceiling which was burned through and extinguished a significant fire in the attic. Crews also removed wood siding that was lightly burning. HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin. 34 personnel responded to this incident, including firefighters from Stations 12, 15, 8, 19, 9, 17, 6, 30 and 15.
