Investigation into Male Found Deceased at 2424 West Sam Houston Parkway South

Houston police are awaiting autopsy results in the death of a male found at 2424 West Sam Houston Parkway South about 3:55 a.m. today (March 29).
The identity and cause of death of the male are pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M. Wilson and Detective B. Stephens reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a call for assistance from Houston Fire Department paramedics in the parking lot of a motel at the above address.  Paramedics provided medical assistance to an unresponsive male, then transported him to an area hospital in critical condition.  Doctors later pronounced him deceased.
It is believed the male may have been assaulted.
The investigation is pending the male’s cause of death, to be determined by an autopsy.
