Investigation into Fatal Crash at 1900 South Voss Street

Houston police have learned a woman critically injured in a crash at 1900 South Voss Street about 9 p.m. on Tuesday (April 2) has died.
The identity of the woman, 27, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant D. Griffiths and Officer. J Johnson and Midwest Patrol Division Officer J. Simon reported:
A white Mercedes-Benz E-Class was traveling southbound near the above address and was turning left toward an apartment complex.  The Mercedes was then struck by a blue Suzuki GSX motorcycle traveling northbound on South Voss.  The female motorcyclist was transported by Houston Fire Department paramedics to Ben Taub General Hospital in critical condition.  Doctors pronounced her deceased on Thursday (April 4).
The female driver, 43, of the Mercedes, who remained at the scene, was determined not to be impaired and was questioned and released.
The investigation is continuing.
