Suspect Charged, Wanted in Shooting at 6618 Avenue N

Charges have been filed against a suspect wanted in the shooting of a man at 6618 Avenue N about 1:10 a.m. on Sunday (April 7).
The suspect, Juan Raymundo Nunez, 21, is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in the 351st State District Court.  A July 2022 booking photo of Nunez, who is not in custody, is attached to this news release.
The victim, 25, was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.
HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Detective J. Ali reported:
HPD patrol officers and Harris County Precinct 6 deputy constables responded to a shooting at the above address and found the victim with a gunshot wound.  Houston Fire Department paramedics transported the victim to the hospital.
Further investigation identified the suspect as Nunez.  The Harris County District Attorney’s Office was contacted and Nunez was charged for his role in the shooting.  He remains at-large.
