Investigation into Fatal Crash at 100 Aldine Bender Road

Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 100 Aldine Bender Road about 9:30 a.m. on Saturday (February 8).
The identity of the deceased male is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant A. Patterson and Officer N. Kumar reported:
The male was in in the street near the above address, not in a crosswalk, possibly sitting in a moving lane of traffic, when he was struck by a blue Toyota RAV4 traveling eastbound.  The driver stopped and remained at the scene.
Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the male deceased.  The driver, who showed no signs of impairment, was questioned and released.
The investigation is continuing.
